ABOUT

The Moral Courage Project is a program of the University of Dayton Human Rights Center
and PROOF: Media for Social Justice.

Since 2015, we've engaged in human rights storytelling that features the actions of ordinary people during extraordinary situations.

We strive to produce accessible platforms that center the experiences of those whose narratives and perspectives are omitted from mainstream accounts--for the purposes of contributing to a more robust historical record and inspiring audiences to be change-makers in their own communities.

In the past, our work has brought us to Ferguson, Missouri to learn from individuals who witnessed and shaped the 2014 uprising, and to the US-Mexico border to listen to defenders of immigrant rights. With the stories we hear in each location, we create multimedia packages that include a podcast series, websites such as this, traveling exhibitions, and curricula.
